Hey gang
I just wanted to know if anyone has taken there EK1 CXi Hatch for a blat down the qtr and what times they ran?
Or if anyone knows what times this things ran when tested from new.

Iam not planning any mods to the car as its my wifes little beast and trully I don't think she is interested as she thinks its a rocket, haha. But after my quick little fix up of it (pretty it up), I was hoping to go with her to WSID and have some fun racing it.

I know its gonna be embarrassing, I just want to know HOW embarrassing though, haha

I just had a look on google and found this.

I believe the Civic DX, is the USDM equivalent of the CXi

1996 Honda Civic DX - 16.7 (C&D June, 96)

It will be embarrassing if you pull up next to something like a V8 Ute. (Experience at traffic lights, NEVER even think you can take a maloo in a stock EK1 :p )

That looks like it was done in 1996. So I would say that is new.

So probalbly add a couple seconds?

probably, i just noticed that quoted 8.7 from 0-100, first time i timed my ek1 i got 11.7 or something :p but that could be cause i was crap at shifting too :s

Ek1 ? 1.6 sohc ain't going to break any records.

I would expect 9 seconds 0-100 and mid to high 16's 1/4.

But do it and tell us !

Thats not too bad considering my 81 TF Cortina with a 4.1L and auto ran 16.8 standard.
