I have a eg5 with b18c but I'm not sure wat mbcit has. The mbc is on the way out so I'm assuming if I get a new dc2r mbc then it will slot in without any modification
advice please

much easier to just replace with a new EG master cylinder, dc2r have different outlet positions and wont bolt onto the master cylinder from memory. Don't go used as it has a high chance of the new brake fluid passing the internal cups leading to a sinking pedal.

all that is need is bending Slightly the hard lines at the master cylinder. are you going 5 lug? if your staying 4 lug, go with an EK4/EM1 brake booster and master cylinder. cheaper and has a great feeling at the pedal. you still need to bend the lines at the master cylinder for EK4/EM1 to fit into EG.

remember to bleed the brake system properly.

here are the sizes:
EG5: 13/16
EK4/EM1/DC2: 15/16
DC2R: 1"

If you're upgrading to 262mm or 5 lug, better to use DC2R booster and bmc.
Stock EG5 bmc will feel spongy no matter how much you bleed it in comparison to DC2/R

Ok no worries. I believe I have the eg5 bmc. I'm taking it to a brake place today to see if they can resleeve it

bigger isnt always better. depends on your budget and application.
but in saying that, the standard EG5 booster and master cylinder are piss weak.

del sol master cylinder is bigger then EG5. its bigger to cater for the ABS system.

Just going off the listing, possible del sol came out somewhere in the world without abs.
It is just as cheap getting a new aftermarket as it is getting a resleeve and its NEW.

del sol master cylinder is bigger then EG5. its bigger to cater for the ABS system.



It's the 15/16th of an inch , to cater for the front 262mm discs and rear discs.
All hondas that share this front rear combo have a 15/16th bmc
ABS or not - if I'm wrong please correct me :)

when buying a master cylinder for my del sol there was two options:

15/16 for ABS or 7/8 for a non ABS.

Not much difference but still bigger.

Just another conflicting Honda part - the 15/16 is standard on all 262mm front hondas abs or not , so it's regarded as an optional or alternative part.
The only difference I've seen for abs bs non-abs is the rear is a slighly larger line size ( larger nut too)
