acc power can also be taken from the headdeck, most aftermarket units have a red acc wire, i would just double check this with a multimeter

yeah deck's got it, not hooked up though
so every time i hit acc, head unit turns on
when i start the car the head unit restarts again

all u need is a test light/multimeter to find the right wire, once u find it hook it up to your gauges and headunit. it should only take a max of 10mins to find it on the cars stero wiring harness

I usually tap power from the ciggie lighter (which comes on only when acc is on)
Light comes from, say like the night light, in the EG civic, the ash tray has one in the front centre console.

Down load the wiring diagrams of the appropriate car from the internet and look it up -These diagrams are free

can also get it from the interior fuse box, would be better cause your not splicing from another circuit.

you can also get constant voltage at the interior fuse box, as said above just need a tester which is constant and which is accessory.
