Yes I've searched,

I was wondering if I can use caltex 25W-60. My integra 97 has done around 200km+ and I need to get this serviced.

So is it okay? If not, why?

What oil is reccomended?

Thank you

too thick, it'd probably run like crap, and feel sluggish, and also make you consume more petrol, don't be tight and buy the right oil for your car.

agreed with destruction... as a tip... generally your owner manual will give you the tolerances for the oil that can be used... so it gives you a minimum and maximum viscosity rating that is appropraite... have a look at that so you understand your car better

best of luck...

ive also removed anything referring to potential sale and advertising in your first post as newcomers cannot sell on our site.

I suggest 10-40w. Recommended in the original manual and works good on my DC2.

Thank's for the tip Zilli, I've read the book and it gave me some help. But your last paragraph didn't make sense... You deleted anything that has potential sale, and advertising in my 1st post as 'newcomers' can't sell on our site.

What does that mean dude?

Dinorider;
Thank's man and yes I've just bought that type of oil from a servo, 10W-40 nulon.

25W-60 is very thick oil, not very suitable for Honda Engine, best use 5w-30/40

castrol 5w-30

i dont think 5-30 is the best especially for a 200,00+kms engine.

Go 10W-40

ive used all sorts of oils in my dc2 vtir from royal purple, motul, elf, mobile 1 and catrol edge all either 5w-30/40 or 10w-30/40 but i can honestly say genuine Honda FEO oil works best in my car which is 10-30 and especially for the price which is around $40 compared to the more expensive brands which ive used listed above which is around $60-$120 would definately recommend sticking to genuine honda oil, i wouldn't recommend any 0w-40 as its way too thin, but that all depends on your engine condition

FEO is not the best oil out there. When Castrol Edge 5w-30 is on sale for $35-40 at Supercheap auto, that is one of the best for value and offers superior protection compared to FEO.

in my opinion aim for 10w
if u got some oil leaks .. or u burn like shit (my cars been doing this lately) go for 15w. Seems to last longer 4me.. im not really a racer i like to thrash it here n there though.

Thanks man and yes I think it's time to move on to 15W. it isn't burning oil but I would love to keep the engine healthy as anything.

Keeping healthy doesn't always mean to use a thicker oil. You can cause problems if you use a thicker oil than required. If you say it isn't burning oil, stay with 10w
