View Full Version : My Mugen Bodykit for my Accord Euro

Hi all...

Finally got my Mugen Bodykit for my Accord Euro... Waited 2 months to get my Euro back and was it worth the wait...

If any of u guys live in Perth and want a good place to paint and fit bodykits then I highly suggest Prestige Motor Vehicle Repairer in Oconner... They did a marvelous job (They even moved the HID washers from my stock front bumper into the Mugen front bumper)...

Sorri guys tried to upload pics but weren't very clear and looked pixelated... Don't know why but i uploaded it into the members Gallery and it turns really pixelated... Maybe i'm using like the max screen resolution on my monitor at home, Looks fine using my works computer...

In the mean time here it is...
Cheers...

Yeah its fibreglass and its a replica... It looks like the real Mugen bodykit, the finish quality is excellent and when installing it there was no problems at all... Everything fitted in place except for the front bumper it had to be sanded down and more work had to be done by the panel beaters. As long as the people doing the fitting and the painting aren't dodgy and are true professionals at doing bodykits then u shouldn't have a problem...

& Baboo no Carquest don't sell the underlip for the Accord Euro. They only sell the whole bodykit with or without the spoiler...

Very nice! The mugen kit looks the best in black. Your wheels go very well with the mugen kit, are they HP Designs? IMO it will look even meaner with the matching black hood trim.

Hey Baboo, the guy I deal with can get you the mugen underlip on its own if you want pm me for details.

Thats their website

Thanx guys... The only problem i have with the mugen bodykit is that its way too low at the front.. I'm having real trouble going over hills and even my driveway of my house.. Looks like i have to raise the suspension... The car is higher at the back because i can't lower it anymore without rolling the guards... Looks like i need to raise the front...
Yeah the wheels are HP Design

can you post more pics of the front? the ones you have posted are in direct sunlight and you cant really see much apart from the shiny black gloss (nice wax job btw)

Also what do they do with your fogs?

that is hot man loving the kit, flows with the lines of the car perfectly. don't raise it though just get a bash plate made to the metal hits instead of the kit best of both worlds, thats what i'm doing on my accord. props to ya though great taste.

In direct sunlight is the only pictures i have took of the car....

Here is a picture of it from front... Hope it gives more detail of the front... The car is too freakn low for my tastes and i have already scratched it.. I will raise it up soon then the bumper will get resprayed again... Hopefully then i won't scrap the bumper again...

The fog lights is sitting in a box at home gathering dust...

mate metal king should be able to help you out this guy works wonders with metal i'm going to him for my chrome grille and bashplate check out his site http://www.metalking.com.au/frame/frame.htm
look at the gallery, does some very neat work. you'll have to ring for prices as i have no idea..... this may help then again you are in WA..... best of luck though mate cause it does look nice at that height. Also another place to try would be a metal fabricating plant, just a thought.

hey, thats a great looking car (thought a 100th time would be nice). I was wondering what size the HP's were? Also what is the offset.Heheheheh Thanks for the compliment...

The HP Designs are 19 inch alloys and the offset is +45...

It fits on the Euro no prb and it doesn't scrap the guards even with lowered suspension.. U looking for mags for ur car is it??

nick_7g
16-12-2004, 12:20 PM
Yeh i am. I wanted to get 19's or 20's. I call around and alot of wheel places say that the offsets for the Euro make the selection pretty thin. So I've gotta look at what other people have done thats worked. I was looking at Advan Kreuzer X's but they're $1000 per wheel. I like the HP's, and the sizes they come in. How did they look with stock suspension?

Reagan
19-12-2004, 12:57 PM
how much did you lower it by?
hows the ride like? and what suspension do you have =)
I cant believe it doesnt scrape the guards even with 19's and its lowered pretty hectik =)

I cant believe it doesnt scrape the guards even with 19's and its lowered pretty hectik =)Can't give u a precise answer on the question of how much it is lowered because Evolution R were the ones that lowered the car and i didn't measure it...

Look at the pictures and u can see the front is lowered probably by 5 fingers... The back is sitting higher then the front because i need to roll the guards if i want to lower it further... It probably is dropped 2 fingers....

Its not how big the wheels are that makes it scrape on the euro, its how wide ur tyres are....

perth euro, i dont think that is the mugen kit. the front bar looks like the stock standard with the factory bodykit. the only thing that looks changed is the grille
but nonetheless, its a hot looking euro.

PERTH_EURO
04-01-2005, 03:36 PM
yep that is correct. Boot spoiler, front grill and skirts are Mugen, front lip extension is not OEM but certainly isnt mugen

does anyone have a picture of a SILVER accord euro/TSX with full mugen bodykit? because i am getting my euro in this colour and i have the ambition to change it to a mugen kit myself.
i would just like to see the front end, and how it would look like if it were silver. so far, ive only seen mugen kits in black, blue and white.

I got to admit the Mugen front under spoiler makes it look more like a Toyota Camry... The full Mugen front makes it look more meaner... But everbody's got their own opinon...

Felix, how can you not like the Mugen Kit? it is the most beautiful thing on the euro, ah well everyone has their own opinions.

Well i picked up the kit today, depending on my friend if he is free to take photos of the car before i take it in to get the kit fitted for a before and after shot, it will be on its way to Prestige Motor Vehicle Restoration panel beaters either tonight or tommorow.

Cant wait, i cant bear the pain of waiting 7 days excluding weekends to get my kit fitted. Oh well only good things come when you have the patience to wait.

Oh hopefully i will be the first blue Euro in Perth to have this Mugen kit...:)

About $900 - $1400 for a replica kit. No Paint.
Search around, because prices differ greatly.
Lots more for genuine.
