Hey Guys

I just semi-finished installing my coilovers.. and i noticed when i have the car jacked up versus when the car is on the ground.. the wheel gap hardly varies at all. Is this normal??

Just in case you dont understand what i am saying. When i measure the wheel gap from tyre to the guard while the car is jacked up, and then measure the wheel gap from tyre to the guard while the car has been dropped to normal ground level, it is very very close.. only differs by about 1cm?. Is this normal for coilovers.

Cause for my old car (koni shocks + neuspeed springs). when i jacked the car up, it would look like a 4WD. If you get what i mean

Thanks guys

so, lke u jack the car? and the wheels are off the floor? yea its normal, its cause the coil overs are stiff, thats how ppl do the 3 wheel thing

But i only have a stock sway bar.. i thought tri-poding the car was related to a fatass rear sway bar...

Perhaps its related to the way i re-tightened the sway bar end links?

any1 else at this hour up lol

i'm sorry but no, it has nothing to do with 'stiff' coilovers

it's because most aftermarket adjustable coilovers lower the car by 'shortening' the length of the shock itself and not shortening the spring
and it has nothing to do with preload either

vinnY is correct. The length of the whole setup has been shortened compared to stock.

i think this is called droop. ?? correct me if i'm wrong though.

"there is no spoon!"

go vinny' go go

coilovers dont have much travel.

you can also get tripod happening with springs and

Take the hand brake off and roll about 10cm fwd or back
