Hi I just bought a 2010 Jazz Vti Vibe.

The 1.5L models we have in Australia does not seem to be equipped with the Double Trunk feature that the 1.4L models do in the UK. All that's underneath the cover is the spare tyre.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Aussies rate a full size spare tyre as more important over boot functionality, which is crap!

I think I used my spare tyre once over 6 years and that was only for a 5km drive, to get to the tyre shop.

In Fiji, I drove on a space saver for like 100km's on rough roads, fully loaded, without any issues.

Check out the Accord Euro. They've destroyed the FLAT boot space, by placing a full size spare tyre in there. There is a hump right in the middle.

I think the Jazz UK model would come with a tyre puncture repair kit, to accommodate the shelf function. I guess this would be useless if your stuck in the middle of no-where with a complete blowout. But how many times does this happen? Plus, that's why it's wise to have NRMA/RACV membership.

Looks like an interesting feature, i'd still prefer to have a spare over the extra shelf though. I just have a plastic tub in there that I chuck wet/dirty stuff into. Easier to clean too...
