ive heard dual tip is quieter than single tip. can anyone confirm?

yes and no... depends on brand but in most cases yes
dual tip are normally an oval muffler thus being quieter.
but you can also get single tipped oval mufflers equally quiet...
depends on the size of the muffler and design itself...:thumbsup::thumbdwn:
addition: the size of the tips can also make a difference in the sound
bigger tip sometimes can make it loud and raspy, smaller tips give that
tinny rasp sound that u hear from standard N14 pulsars

those are pretty loud when you get up it, see them everywhere, big tips

to whats in your car...

the tips only make a very small contribution to the amount of noise output through your exhaust
