B16 issues

Hi guys,

I have a JDM B16 in my civic, and I've noticed some times that it seems to really.. lack power? like I'll be driving along, with out changine my throtle position, and itll seem to struggle, and then have a surge of power, then go back to strugling. this seems to happen randomly, but never in VTEC. Any ideas what could be the issue here?

Also have a lot of smoke coming out the exhaust as soon as VTEC engages.. But power in VTEC range seems fine?

smoke??? could mean ur piston rings shot up. Lack of power could b a ignition prb, check ur leads an that....

Check TPS sensor voltage - closed & WOT
Check O2 sensor
Also check for any fault codes

For smoke...
Check oil level
Check PCV is clean & functional
Remove header & look into exhaust ports, check for leaking guides.
