Hey all,
I recently purcahsed an Ultraracing rear strut for my Dc2. I wasn't aware that there would be cutting involved so i was wondering if anyone has installed a similiar item and could offer any input. I've searched the net a bit but have come up empty. Any help would be great cheers

i bought a ultra racing 4 pt one for me dc2r. i had to cut some of the panels. But i kinda did a rushed job so i stuffed it up. I think if cut about 2 - 4 cm it should be fine. Better to trial it first then measure where you would need to cut.

I had to cut my pannels with the standard rear strut brace. I wonder if they do a neat job of cutting it for you if you bought it like that from factory?

That's nice. If you had it fitted from the dealer when new, they cut a small single rectangle with rounded corners on the middle of each plastic lid. Then there's a long u-shaped rubber edging thing that is pressed into the edges to make it look more finished.
The ends of the strut brace are fitted to the top of the shocks, then the plastic lid slipped over them and then the centre main beam is screwed in. That looks cleaner, but if you need to remove the plastic lids completely you'll have to take off the centre beam first.
