Centre Console + Foot Area heating up?

Hey guys,

I've just been noticing that my dc2r's centre console and footrest area is quite hot? I usually put my phone in the little area just under the headunit and when i put my hand in there or take my phone out its quite hot.

Also the foot rest area is also quite hot.

Any ideas or is this quite normal?

After a period of driving in my dc2r and then i touch around the hand brake area etc etc it gets warm/hot. Probably from the exhaust piping right under it.

its because of exhaust and also no firewall insulation

I think its normal mine does the same thing i think its because there is no firewall insulation
its basically a sheet of metal and then the exhaust right underneath it.

i own a vtir which comes with sound dampening and insulation and i cop it too.
nothing to worry about my friend.
