of even the subaru rims are pretty nice as well...if i am not wrong we use stud pattern 4x100 right??but are most rims universal since ours is pretty much the norm stud patterns??

nah we use 5x114. The euro rims should fit fine but not sure about the subaru rims. The main thing with the euro rims is what offset they are

the 8spoke euro rims has +55 offset..it will look silly without spacer...

Ohh so what offset are we looking at usually ?

Stock accord euro (CL9) rims are 16x6.5 +55

the luxury rims and the sport rims are the same spec: 17x7 +55

quite a high offset, would look for something far lower for FD.

They will fit on the fd as long as u remain on stock height or after market springs, if u plan on lowering. They look quite classy. If u plan on lowering on coils tho, u will definitely need spacers for them

are we talking the euros rims which look similar to the type r ones?

also how much are they going for ?

zimmy83
24-02-2010, 04:22 PM
ohh...i was just considering those...keeping the car stock with height n all...just the 17" ones will do...

those are different euro rims than i was thinkng of. i was picturing those euro sport ones with more thinner spokes grouped in 2's.

yeh the ones that look similiar to the JDM DC5r wheels but in silver, they look pretty nice. I'd assume they would be the same specs as the lux wheels.

Stig
25-02-2010, 12:40 PM
same specs, they look pretty avg on a fd though, rather the 07-08 sport rims over those

euro rims looks good on a FD, i rather have them on then the sports rims well i guess that's my opinion. well when i first saw that picture, that made me bought the FD, its looks slick and all original

yep same here, i did a quick search on the rims i was thinking about befor and agree. don't think they would look as good on the fd, and the ones i currently have i like more than them.

i like the ones you have in your sig as well, the 19's i take you mentioned in another thread. i wouldn't mind 19's on mine seeing my neighbour has a little sl mercedes and recently got some 19" amg's put on his, look really good.

actually the one in my dp is an old pic, they were back then when i had the 20s on lol, havent had time to take a good pic of the current 19s

just wondering does the type r 18" rims fit fine on your fd2??do i need to get spacers??standard ride height n all..no change..

aero
02-03-2010, 09:23 PM
lol. this has been covered heaps.
the fn2r 18" wheels will fit without spacers on standard suspension. however, if u plan on lowering ur car with coilovers, u will need spacers for them, as +55 is too high of an offset.

im planning to get the jdm dc5r rims which are +60 offset, with 15mm spacers all round to set it back to oem +45 offset. or maybe even 20mm at back instead i dont know yet anyone have any idea? also anyone know how long the oem wheel studs are?

Stig

save the hassle and get a set of dc5s rims? they basically look the same as audm dc5r but in 17s

aero
03-03-2010, 12:46 AM
the jdm dc5r rims dont like the dc5s wheels o.o look more like work cr kai.
if the wheels are cheap, then imo, do it. see how it turns out.

Stig

ohh he wanted the jdm dc5r ones, i thought audm, my bad
