SOHC or DOHC wtf help

Hay guys,
when to Honad today to get some parts and Scotts Honda keeped saying I have a DOHC VTec 1993 Civc Hatchback WTF

They said this after I gave em my cars VIN No: JHMEG53800S20XXXX
Why would this be?

Emgine is D16Y11000XXX SOHC VTec

you sure its a dohc v-tec 1993 neva knew honda made em in that year an in those shapes only jap-specs! i guess u got the single cam v-tec thats pretty lame!! zc-g will eat em

My point is why would a Honda Dealer get it wrong after using my VIN number
