just found out that my engine chain tension might need replacing on dc5s :( has any one else come across this ?
its going to cost me a fortune :(

If the chain guides are worn, then that needs replacing and is expensive. Might even consider replacing the chain at the same time since everything is out.

If it is just the tensioner that needs replacement, that is cheap and easy.

engine light came on . replaced sensor . engine light went off for a bit and the turned back on ... local mechanic has been working on hondas for 13 years and he said its very rare for it to happen ..:(
just got to wait and seee ...

What was the CEL code that was stored?

I had this problem once....I think the code is TDC.

Its when the chain is not align or has missed a tooth
