Hey guys,

Tried to start my car today and it wont run... it cranks , fuel pump is priming, i got spark and i got fuel in the rail but it wont fire up.

what do you think, injectors? if my map sensor was dead would that stop it from starting?

checked my cel and the only code its throwing is 20 - electrical load detector but ive had that code ever since ive owned the car.

series 2 b16a btw

cheers!

try starting with alittle throttle or WOT , and it might chug into life. Hows your battery ? OEM ignition ?

yer tried a different battery and checked grounds got an aftermarket dizzy but its making spark. running stock ecu and injectors.

i recon its not getting fuel. is there anyway i can test the injectors?

Pull out your plugs & clean them....
My guess is you've fouled them. :)

Test the injector with a "Noid light"...
When it flashes, it indicates the driver in the ECU is working...
Also get your multi meter out & see they all have 12V with the red on...
Trigger is via switching earth at ECU end.
You can by one at Repco, Supercheap, PEPS, Autobarn, Auto Pro etc...

Also check the main ECU earth on top of your thermostat housing... (10mm bolt head)
This can casue same issue

- plugs look like new... no carbon deposits, not wet and are sparking good.

- ecu earth is good and tight

- i will get a noid light tomorrow and give that a whirl... what do u mean "with the red on"??

thanks

Red's refers to ignition switched on... Sorry I left off the s - my bad

Also test fuel pump, could be your pump or relay to pump

mabe try putting a new fuel filter in, my SSS turbo just stopped one day and after everything put a new filter in and fired straight up it was clogged so it was still getting some fuel pressure but not enough to run or start.

TODA sorry to hijack but that bolt your refering to would that cause the car to shut down at high RPM if it was earthed incorrectly ?

It wouldn't be like the integra's with the main relay faulty would it?

Damm. i was about to ask the same question...

i went for a drive today, came out of an intersection and gave it a stab, got to about 7500rpm and then it just lost power. I put my foot on the clutch and the engine then died.
I tried to restart it. turns over but wouldnt fire up.. give it a little throttle it would then try to start but it would fart and carry on then make a farting noise back through the intake..

so tomorrow im going to check plugs to see if theres spark.
also how do i check fuel pump and also if the fuel filter is dirty can you clean it?

and sorry to hijack thread...
