Hey everyone,
Recently I bought a GMB water pump off eBay for a B18C1 (US Spec) for my aus spec B18C2 and I've had some dramas.

Firstly the dowel pin holes on the pump are too small, so we had to drill them out. Then when we went to fit it, the impeller rubbed on that circular thing at the end of the connecting pipe (not sure what it's called). The impeller is a slightly different shape and the blades are at a different angle.

Has anyone else had this problem? I didn't think I'd have any trouble with that pump because I assumed that most things like that would be the same.

Cheers,
Joel

not too sure, but have you searched b18c5 water pump on ebay? note some shops do use same pictures of the inside/propeller, so search hard and compare with your one.

No i hadn't searched that. The ones I have found said they suit gsr and type r tegs though.

I've looked at a few local GMB ones too. I work at repco and we list a WP4003 and a WP3018, neither of which worked. I'm just going to go genuwine. Save the hassle... I'll figure out an aftermarket one later on.

Thanks for your help.

Got the OEM pump today, fits a treat. Shame I had to mortgage the parents' house to pay for it.
