Does anyone know where to buy roof rail and roof rack other than Honda dealer?

they quoted me nearly $1000 fully installed:). Very expensive for a pair of roof rail.

Yeah, read that thread...!!

To answer my own questions in that thread...(after you've read it)

I got the factory roof rails. Very solid and worth the spend.

Probably should not have got the factory cross bars until I had decided on the roof box.
Best bet is to get a matching pair...the Honda ones are an old design which makes it hard for non-Honda accessories.

I got a Rhino Rack 450L roof box. Nice size relative to the car. It lines up nicely with the rake of the windscreen when installed. Could do with colour coding though.

Adds about 1 or 2 L /100km on the highway. Also makes the car 2.2m tall so no underground car parks.......

Thx for the advice. Didn't realise that it will increase fuel consumption so much.

Since we are on the topic of e-bay..

For those that want the Modulo badge, there are some on e-bay

Don't know if it is real, but I got my Genuine ones 1 year ago for SGD $25 per piece, this one is only AUD $15.

Just thought someone might be interested.

What is your best price? As I can purchase the roof rail from Honda dealer for $600. It is only the labor cost is so expensive over here. I jalso ust called Burswood Honda, the labor cost has come down?(puzzle me) $203 for labor.

Does it come with DIY instruction?

My postcode 6150

Thx

Pretty sure it comes with instructions. What the dealer told me is basically you remove both the black strips that run from front to back of car and replace with the new ones which have the mounting points for the roof rails built in. Shouldnt be too hard but might need a torque wrench

I didnt have the time to do it so got them too, plus has Honda warranty.
When one of the cover strips fell off on one trip, rang them and got new one (free) under warranty.
