Intro on my civic EK1

Hey, firstly my name is Marcus.

I own an ek1 which in yellow :D running the sohc 1.6 it goes ;) i bought it not long ago and it is basically still factory new ! which was very good for me as i wanted a project.

This car came up and i was not expecting to drive a civic ever, although once driving it i dont think i will change.

RECENT CARS: Honda integra dc2 vti-r, reason for sale was that it basically needed a new engine and it would be costly.

Now with this civic i am thinking rapidly that i want a vtec again. I am going to convert my 1.6 sohc to a dohc 1.6 VTEC :D very excited.

I am customising the civic to also make it look very nice and neat as a JDM EK9 prototype :)

Hey mate, welcome :wave:

If u want to upgrade your engine, then go B16a (1600 DOHC Civic vti-r engine). It's the cheapest out of the b-series engines. If you can stretch it cash wise, then get a b18C2 vti-r engine - it'll get you to 100 in 1-1.5 seconds faster than a B16a. Type R engines are way overpriced IMO.

Yellow Ek1, eh? That was a limited colour (1999-2000, i believe). Does that one have rear discs? If it does u are one step up from a regular ek hatch, just chuck in an engine and u'll be right!

hey, the colour is sick l0l and prob limited im gonna try make it look ek9 i think and nah drum on the rear ill step it up a notch and put discs and a b16a sounds nice and vtec should roar :D

white wheels look great on yellow hondas, try and track down some genuine honda rims and paint them white

b18c2 pricing is pretty similar to b16a pricing, have a look around you might find something for a good price.

Well from what ican see nothing except the body mouldings lol BUT soon I can say that my Indy has vtec nd a whole lotta other stuff lol I am preety shore Indy justment an extra wing which is ugly nd the facelift (better looking) kit :)

This maybe em1 rims and paint white or go 5 stud and run type r white rims :p

or you could just go with p1s or works or something in white

Just people got different taste i guess. I reckon these rotas with the centre cap off would be pretty G. But man its your car do w/e you like as long as you like it :)

well see how the rims go, ill be spraying sometime this week i hope ! then ill be able to see if they look hot on the car or not* i am liking the sportmax deep dished ;) after a mate referred me to them, so well see i may be changing my rims soon if i find a nice pair for good price.
