Hey guys,

I don't know if this is a stupid question but I must ask!

Has anyone tried/would there be any benefit if we mount a fan in the engine bay to blow towards our pod filters?

Sorry if it's a stupid question but I've ALWAYS wondered and have never found the answer everywhere.

I have a VTi-R Integra with a short ram intake. If you guys don't think it's a stupid idea but don't know, I might try this on the weekend and report back.

Thanks guys!

Save your money.
A piece of PVC pipe will be more effective at 60kmh+

Yeah, buy a PVC pipe.

A 1.8 litre engine at 6000 rpm will try to suck in 1.8 x 6000 = 10,800 litres of air per minute (minus losses from flow restriction and resistance). I doubt you will find a small fan powerful enough to supply air at that high rate.

Awesome guys thanks heaps. PVC pipe done - was just wondering if that would do anything at slower speeds.

Anyway I guess that theories out the window!

Thanks everyone!

You could get a belt driven fan IE a supercharger or an exhaust driven fan IE turbocharger .......
