[GD3] Final Drive

The jazz has 130,00km on it.

So i plan to change the clutch + flywheel and while i'm there, i plan to get helical lsd and maybe a final drive.

I have been getting mixed opinion from people about getting a final drive for the jazz. some say :thumbsup: idea, some say :thumbdwn: idea. Can you guys give me some input on this as well?

MFactory Helical LSD as it is much more suited for my application :thumbsup:

no. just occasionally track day, especially the labour cost to install the lsd or not doesn't vary too much so why not? i choose helical as well so it's more maintain free.

Not on a JAZZ....or not on a jazz with 130,000ks ?


A LSD ( or any diff) isnt such a wearing item based on ks. So , any time is a good time to change it. Why not when he is changing clutch n fly !

First of all, it is not "CHANGE" but Put a LSD into a jazz, as it hasnt got one from factory.
And I would recon you stick with MFactory LSD + FD, puls their Flywheel as their flywheel for jazz is light weight but orignal size one, so much other brand one you could find online is upsized one to suit larger larger clutch disk and cover, and it is not so wise to put those kind of clutch kit on your L15 engine, at least this what I heard from my mechanic. Also I would recon you do your engine mount all together to save more labor charges. I was about to get everything done together before I had my car crash. Now all my parts is at Tonny's hand and I'm pretty sure he could help you more. Good luck with your project mate~

Yes i did plan to get MFactory LSD, 5.1 FD and Flywheel. I have already got the quote from Leonard. Just bit indecisive on the Final Drive.

Clutch wise, thinking Exedy. US offer clutch such as Stage 1, do you guys know what's stage 1 is equivalent to our exedy clutch here? At the moment, I'm using the Exedy, Sport Organic on my DC5R and i'm very happy with it. So i'm looking for something similar to that.

You probably wont find much here in Australia. My friend has got the parts but is saving up for labour cost.
