yep a friend of mine in the past ran it this way and got pulled over by the cops, they harrassed him abit for this & that but ended up letting him go. The car was fairly stock.
If they see your car like this they are likely to pull you over to check the car over, just incase you've got a modded car and are going street racing
He had interior taken out for track day and didn't bother putting it back in.

i couldnt be bothered putting the interior back in on/off for track , a bit off topic here but would it pass pinkslip with a strip interior, considering you still have front and rear seats + seats belts still in ?

i run stripped interior. no carpet, rear seats or rear mouldings. Just drivers seats and console. Been puled over a couple of times and even had defects, nothing was said about the stripped interior tho.

Hi Guys,
I realise this topic has gone dead, but just to reassure everyone. I have been speaking to a local engineer and he has stated there is no law preventing you from removing the back seat or interior panels, though I am unsure on the Fronts at this stage...

There isn't a law preventing you from it, but you must get it engineered and resgistered as a 2 seater which needs some fab work to remove the points where the seatbelts go.

He's a very bad engineer for not expanding on that Rick. See tiksie's post below. Why are you running no interior anyway?

Probably didnt expand on that as it was only a quick off topic email.

There are no real reasons behind why I am running with no interior, besides the slight weight reduction. The same reason as most people remove it. The same reason CHRIS removed it out of the CRX..

Chris doesn't have a CRX. I've seen pics but it has been so long. I just think taking the interior out of an EP3 is a waste of time and sacrfice on comfort. The CRX is a pig anyway and weighs 200kg less so percentage wise if he removes the same weight he's getting a better result.

That is so true!! 21mnths and counting.. You have a better chance to get an answer out of him bout it than I do..

Ofcourse percentage wise a CRX is always going to come out on top.
I dont see how comfort is lost removing the rear interior from the EP? Another main reason for its removal, is so I cant have more than one passenger, climbing through the car putting their grubby fingers and feet everywhere..
