hey all did a search but didnt find anything that i was looking for

atm im thinking about im porting a 89 crx siR vtec and was wondering if any 1 has any specs on this car. like power, engine type the car is in ok condition and stock but if the engine is in good nick ill be happy cos i can alwase poot it in my 88 ED but id just need 2 know if its a good car. were it counts :P

being the SiR u should have back seats and a glass roof comapred to the aussie no back seats and sunroof.
why would u wanna put the engine in an ED? (unless u doin b18c swap....or k20a swap for that matter:D)

from my knowledge the CRX sir didnt come with LSD whereas the civic sir came with LSD(optional?), please re-educate me if need be

Both had the LSD as an option - and standard on the race spec.

THe EF8 CRX SiR is the same as my EF9 Civic - a top car.

I have scans of the brochures for both the EF8 and EF9 if anyone can read Japanese - then again - the scans are 40 meg files

few times ive seen a JDM CRX SiR for auction on their site, but they go rather fast.

j-spec have had 2 EF9 Civics and about 5 EF8 CRXs plus quite a few Si Civics and CRXs.

BTW - the Aussie ED CRX is a lot lighter than the JDM one - you are looking at about 1000 kilos for the EF8.

Don't get the ABS kitted one - the ABS is old and not worth the added weight penalty.

heres the site. and its not 9k. its 7.5k uncompied. got told that compliance was under 1250. some cars i reckon u should look at.. the honda crx #913 and #105 and the rx7 series 5. #254. HAVE FUN MATEY

Um yeah my crx is from yahoo motor sport..... and no huge problems with it, in fact mechanically its *safer* then this other crx that was advertised as a1 mechanically, in the trader and that had 4 a4 pages of stuff wrong with it, the raa dood said to me he had no idea how it still was driveable ...

Yahoo motorsport (aka John "Dodgy" Iverban) is the dodgiest backyard importers in Australia; he abuses a loophole in the consumer affairs laws by selling uncomplied vehicles this way he can operate and sell cars without a car dealer licence(i.e. you have no protection if something goes wrong with the car). Use extreme caution when buying cars from him. There are too many bad stories around

hey mate im a bit of newbie here and i actually bought an ef8 sir a week ago!! it had just landed, fully complied/rwc and rego'd. 140k km's on the clock, glasstop. clean car imo. the guy i bought it off just brang another one if you are interested???
