best bet, fill it 1L at a time over 15min intervals and watch the level reading
then start it up once it's full, check the level again and top up as required

anti-clockwise to loosen..
soooo in your position...turn to the left.
clean the oil filter, with a rag or something so there is no residue on it.. wear some latex gloves, and it should grip really well.. from there its just man power=)

needs to be cleared up
start the engine and let it idle while the oil circulates and the filter fills up then switch it off and check it again

go to the dealer and ask for the filter removal cap tool, will make doing changes sooo much easier (if you use oem filters that is)

if i can't get mine off i put a screwdriver through it (only if you're replacing the filter as well) and use the screwdriver as a lever. Messy but it works

stab a thick screw driver through it after oil has been drained and use the handle to turn it...worked for me the 1st time i tried, its dodgy but works!

why dont ye go down to those auto stores like supercheap auto or repco, get the tool think its called a oil filter wrench or something i forget, i used it once, and it broke on me the second time i used it, but 7bucks to get it off once is alright imo.it looks like a plastic spanner with one of the ends that can be loosley pushed or pull to grip the filter

I know with a b16 in an ek, you can actually get to the filter from the engine bay top view.. which makes it easier getting your power down to remove it. rather den lying under the car in weird awkward positions.
