More like 2.25" or 60mm (2.36") for an NA B18 mate. You'll lose too much power if you go 3" and I think 2.5" would be a step too far in the wrong direction also

be aware that varex mufflers are illegal =)

I'd go 2.5 pipe with 2.5 muffler, keep it the same size. Don't care about the tip. :p

stock typeR pipe is 2.25.... no point keeping the same size i reckon... go 2.5 and you wont lose too much power at all as I have used both =)

Bleeding ears.
I've got one on mine and it's KINDA deep down low (probably not even, just a raw kind of sound) and gradually gets VERY VERY RASPY as you climb through the revs.
Below 3,000 on light throttle, I managed to drive it for almost a month without any trouble, until I was able to get a hold off an axleback.
As I explained before, I quite like the raw and deepish sound of it during low rpm. Anything above that sounds like a piece of sh*t lawn mower, but it's just the way the spec2 is.
It's not really designed with sound quality in mind. I personally found it gave decent power gains when switching between my street axleback and the spec 2 muffler less axleback.
Or maybe it's just me thinking it's faster because it's louder hahaha
Don't have many pics of it, but I will upload a video soon.

i know they fit EG sedan pretty easy with the oval muffler. can be fitted to EG hatch but your welder has to be creative. like mine.
