OEM style Bendix pads are cheap and will do the job for you... you cant upgrade to a more efficient or bitey pad without having squealing or dust, so stick to originals

QFM HP-X pads, very quiet/street friendly and affordable. They are are rated to 500 degrees but will work fine for every day usage. Around $80 for a set of fronts or rears.

I didn't think Bendix made the Ultimate pads for the EG/EH VTi's because they're not exactly the 'performance' cars in the production.
This is because I wanted to use them but couldn't find them anywhere and was told this by a fella running a brake shop/machinist.
I ended up just using the Bendix OEM replacement pads and they've been great so far, not too much dust at all, no squeaking, and they stop fine.
thanks guys, oem stockies it is

I've tried EBC Greenstuff and they're squeaky from the get go...
as soon as it was time to change, i went back to Bendix and never turned away since...

limbo, you can get QFM's from gslrallysport or the qfm website. they also have an ebay shop. brakewest.com.au also has them, just shoot them an email, they are more than happy to help, well thats my experience with them.
What about if u were going to the track for a once off, would oem do fine?

oem probably wouldn't last long until they start fading

you can find aftermarket ones that work well in higher temperatures...
but the thing is, they're no good for normal road use because it takes a certain temp range before they start becoming very sticky...

If you want to go track maybe get some Project Mu pads :)
well considering my honda will never see past the track gates, and certainly will not see past 4-5k rpm, i might just go with the stockies
thanks guys

Currently got a few pads i am testing (ITR Calipers) so far inconclusive as my MBC has died.
Stock OEM CTR pads - i burnt them out after 1 track day
RDA - pretty average, very poor on track after continious, but survived the track day which suprised me not bad for $55
Bendix Ultimates - about the same as the RDA, but double the cost
ACRES superfighter - Using on rear (seems pretty good so far), waiting for fronts
Federo - used on rear not bad, nominal wear even after track days
TSW - so far really good braking
QFM - still in wrapping :)
I wanted a pad gentle on rotors, good at cold and able to survive the odd trackday
What would u suggest for me, basically a once off track day. I have a cxi lol so front pads only with rear drums lol.
Limbo did u have a write up of what to check/do before a track day somewhere?

main things to do on a track day
- Check coolant levels
- oil change
- Bleed brakes
- Check that you have at least 50% brakes
- Check wheel nuts
Then just generally that the car is running fine.
Bring extra tyres just in case (min a pair)
Money for fuel
Those are the main things
Vinny - Federo 2500, i heard good things but that they are also abit rough on your rotors. It use to be hard to get my disc redrilled so i've been carful on the pads i've been using. But i'm not so worried nowadays cos Yonas sells them!
Just got my ACRES superfighter will try them after the TSW next track day

Not true, there are some that are pads that suit a good medium between the two - track/street use. My last QFM pads were fine from the get go in the mornings to several (6) track days.
