I tried doing a search and couldnt find anything. just wondering which colours are popular here? Im thinking bout the cobalt blue pearlescent but it doesn't seem very popular here at all. Don't think i've seen a red one anywhere either. Volcano Grey Metallic seems very popular though!

Volcano grey are everywhere. I didn't like it as it looks brown to me rather than grey.
I bought the black but would not recommend it unless you like detailing .
Thankfully, i have a shitload of products and can use a rotary buffer.

lol nice yeah i've heard the same from other owners of black euros on here.
I quite like the blue, it's not the best blue but it's not bad at all.

different people have different thoughts i think... I went to the first dealer and all he has is black and silver colour and only one volcano grey left. He knew that i was after the grey one and he pushed the price for the grey one up. He keep telling me that black is another nice alternative. I ended up getting it at another dealer coz i fell in love with grey and no other colours for cu2.

got the black cuz i thought it looked good...most of the CU2 i have seen around have been either mostly black, silver or volcano grey.

anyways i think the white looks really nice too...probably would have been my 2nd preference.

i got the grey. Under lighting when its clean and glossy and reflective. ITS THE BEST DAMN LOOKING COLOUR OUT THERE

however i wish it was lighter but still darker than the silver. however i still wish i bought the blue

THE BLUE ONE IS THE BEST. and the white one is also very good

too many people have grey and silver. and black is just gay

so get the blue! it goes so well with the chrome trim

I have black, and loving it... NOT! Maintaining it is pain in the bum. especially when you dont have time to detail or undercover garage to store the car. Well I've just moved to a new apartment with undercover garage (and carwash bay!) so its all good now :)

My 1st preference was Blue, followed by white and then the black. Silver is too "oldies" looking and grey is... er... brown? :S

When I went to NZ, I saw Bluish Silver and CL9 Maroon. too bad we didnt get as much options as them

HunterZero

Yeah, my first choice for a CU2 would be blue, followed by white. A CU2 in white really shows off the complex panel creases and curves.

Silver, yawn. Red, yuck.

The CL9 metallic graphite grey and nighthawk black were much nicer than the CU2 volcano grey and crystal black.

The CU2 volcano grey colour looks too dirty and brown, it's not nice.

The CL9 nighthawk black has a stunning dark blue pearl flake to it, looks really nice. Crystal black is still nice, but nowhere near as nice as nighthawk black.

yep blue and white definitely stand out. its just that most people out of instinct would choose the grey silver and black colours.

Crystal black must have silver and blue flakes in it, with nowhere near as much blue. It's definitely different to NHBP.

*slaps forehead * Of course! I'm sure we'll get someone sticking up for red here soon.

Red looks OK in that photo (other than the weird colours on the door), and those wheels and the aero bumper look good, but in the metal red doesn't look so good. :thumbdwn:

I've noticed on some silver cars in direct sunlight, mostly Toyotas, you can see vertical stripes in the paint from the factory! Looks awful. Honda Euros don't have this problem though.

I think the darker colours look way better on the CU2...It looks out of proportion in lighter colours, like the body is too big for the wheels.

Hi Denot,
The Blue'ish-silver you mention is called Bluestone, unique to CU2, I believe, though I may be mistaken.

I've seen earlier pre-MY06 facelift CL9 Euros in maroon/burgundy in Australia. Seems to be a very rare colour, but they are about.

I've seen a couple of dark mocha ones around too, that seems a very rare colour.

Later CL9s were only available in plain red, or metallic pearl mocha/black/blue/graphite/silver/white.

Love the name 'Deep Lava',
on a another note, do you pay a premium for Metallic paint in Oz?

Here the promo material states that there's no premium on Metallic Paint, which I guess is their sales USP?? maybe.

yeah we usually paid like $300 or $500 for metalic/pearl paint. but that just bs (note: this is according to the honda salesman)

Yeah, and there's only one non-metallic colour choice - red.

It annoys me that they do this. It's a way to advertise a lower base price, and screw an extra few hundred out of the buyer for more popular colours...

I think when you bargain they normally said "I give you good deal, for RRP now we take the metalic paint fee and give you for free." Its an old dealer trick to make you think that they give you good deal.

Thats sales ploys for you, no real value added, just make it appear so.....

In NZ, you cant bargain, from the outset your reminded that the price on the car, is what you'll pay for it finally, the only reduction in price comes from the value of your trade-in (if any). This applies to brand new only.

I'm afraid my vote goes to Pearlescent White, I had always thought that nothing looked as good as a CL9 in white & nothing has changed with the CU2. The only disappointment for me personally is they dropped they beige interior on the CU2.

2nd choice would be silver, 3rd choice blue & forget the rest. But of course we all have different views on colours. Lighter colours are also easier to maintain.

Here's my Volcano Grey, that Milano Red one looks awesome! Black looks good, but too much upkeep. Blue is nice, white isn't my style. Silver is for oldies. NZ seems to have more choice and they can install the auto folding side mirrors. Why is Oz stuffed over on the colour options and why is NZ and SA able to do the foldable mirrors?

I like the blue in the advertising shot and have it as my wallpaper. It appears lighter than Cobalt Blue. Whilst I like Cobalt Blue and have it as my first choice, it's a little too dark and therefore harder to maintain. Buran Silver or the Premium White would be my next choices. White can be a problem in the Territory as the fine red dust (laden with iron) eventually gives white cars a red tinge.

Volcano Grey looks good on a dark day but is hard to maintain.

I have seen two Milano Red CU's here. They're rare and look good in bright sunlight. Unfortunately, having owned three red cars, they always fade badly.

Crystal Black looks good on dark days and at night, especially with a blueish tinge. It's not good in bright sunlight where every single minor scratch and micron size particle of dust/dirt is fully visible. Having owned a black car; never, ever, ever again.

The TSX comes in a "Vortex Blue Pearl" but it looks alot like Cobalt Blue Pearl in some photos. Has anyone seen this colour in person?

Of all of the colours, and having owned a silver car, the silver would be the easiest to maintain. But I like the Cobalt Blue.

I use to have the advertising shot as my wallpaper as well... until I got my own!

I agree that shot appears lighter than cobalt blue, my photo underneath that pic is a more accurate representation of the coulour. With different lighting you get different shades but I've never seen it as light as the ad shot.

Hard to maintain? Yes! Think visible water spots here... :thumbdwn: I was seriously considering the black but am I glad I didn't now! I'm JUST keeping up with the maintenance of the blue! :(

I've seen a lot of red cars fade as well and boy do they look SHITE! Has anyone owned a red Honda before (factory paint) and experienced the paint fading?

Is it just me or is it just me that has a CB Euro on this forum??? Where are the other 3 ppl and their pics???

Here's another pic shot at night.

We have clean and abundant torrents of water in Darwin: Just dust from booming construction activity to really worry about.

The photo on the overpass would be nicer if the street lights were not in the background. Any chance of a shot on the spot with the street lights lighting up the side of the car?
