Even though i don't have enough money for a dc5r, i still have fun looking at car sales everyday LOL. 15 G's for this car..and was wondering, wouldn't you want to mod as is, i.e. Cf bonnet, mugen front bumper and lip, replace side panels, and headlights? I reckon it would be okay if only there is no chassis damage?

Thanks for reading~~ haha

Should be fine doesn't look that bad. Just replace panels. Nothing some rope and some body weight can't pull out!

he's asking a serious question boys.... behave

what i would personally do, IF you are serious about purchasing it, is find out if it has actually been written off for a start... secondly get a repairer to look at it before you buy...

^ i would NOT take the above advice... in fact if i wasnt such a nice guy i would negative rep you mate...

airbags are known not to go off at times. It looks like its not a full frontal impact, furthermore, with a pole or something narrow which may not have hit the actuators...

Either way, im recommending a full inspection by a qualified repairer... might cots you a bit of cash if you dont know someone, but it will be worthwhile

the description says he hit a kangaroo. i thought it looked like he hit a pole too, but something as big as a kangaroo id get it checked out as zilli suggested

Well cheers for the variety of sarcastic and serious answers. It'll buff out..interesting. Alternatively, nah i don't have the money. Just wanted to know if accidents like that can be given a general 'damage rating' through observation without any actual inspection. Have a good one all ;D I will be getting one in about 11 months LOL. ahh to save up is so hard.

In later models like that airbags are the big concern, if its been deployed it needs to be replaced, if it hasn't, you need to be certain that it hasn't been triggered and just failed to activate. If it really is a roo hit, chances are the hit wasn't strong enough to set it off.

You also need to know if its on WOVR (written of vehicle register) everything becomes harder if it is.

Otherwise for repairs worst case your looking at quarter, bonnet, bar, headlight, radiator support panel, rad, aircon condensor, and whatever is behind that headlight, probably the washer bottle, airbox or battery.
