How hard is it to do a DIY on a dc2r clutch change compared to other cars, i took it to a mechanic for a quote and he said $1.5k because its hard and im pretty sure thats just with a oem clutch.

Is this guy full of shit or not because it seems pretty expensive, my dads friend offered to change it for me for nothing (he changed one in my bros car a mazda 323. Just wondering if there would be any major differences between them or is it straight forward.

mechanic should charge around $400 for labour + parts.. so 1.5k is pretty steep

as above give ben a pm..

hes handy with the tools..

dc2R is pretty easy mate.

Their front subframe is only half sized. By that I mean, the subframe does not cover the entire area of the engine bay. Gearbox (very simply speaking) just bolts on bolts off.

1500 no way..

Usually like 400 like the other guys said.

I paid 800 for clutch flywheel and a few bearings in the box
