I've just picked up 2 Honda engines and, frankly I'm not sure what I've got.
I think the first is an early NSX but I'm hoping someone might confirm from the casting number which is C30, its a V6 of course with 4Valve heads and everything is Aluminium.

The 2nd is a 4 Cyl with an 85mm Bore, Its got HM PTO-12 on the block and stamped on the top side of the block where I'd expect an engine number (smooth machine surface) it has AAAA (ie 4 x A's) stamped, wouldn't find if this is an A1 Mugen Motor but, I doubt it. Its an all Alloy Block. I've attaced a pic of the 4 cyl upside down showing the massive web bracing below the main bearing caps.

I've done research on google so I reckon I'm right on the NSX, but the 4 cyl, geez ! Welcome feedback and hopefully a link that'll identify what I've got. thanks heaps

first thing first, C30 is an early NSX engine C30A or C30B. U're scoring if it is a C30B engine.

Secondly, is the photo attached is one complete engine? or 2 engines (head and block belongs to 2 different engines) been stacked up together? Cos the block is clearly belong to a V6 engine.

and if it is one engine (V6), then the head is correct (3 cylinders per head) and there are 2 heads in total.
Just my guessing....

1.8 V6? wow lol

The smallest V6 I'd heard of before that was the 2L in the Mitsubishi FTO which makes 150kw stock!

What car was this 1.8 in?

Thanks for the interest, yea its a 3 Port head sitting on one bank of a 2 x 3 bank block which appears it is an NSX - cool, now, what do I do with it ?

The 4 Cyl engine, likewise new, is just an Alloy 4 cyl 85mm bore, common to many Hondas, is there something identifying that I could take a pic of, like, its a block, there are the numbers but, what do they mean - I love the "AAAA", but what does it mean? I expected a clear cast number like the NSX C30, but nothing, just the big fat lovely "H" Dave

Hmm, you can give the NSX engine to me :) I always wanted to put one in a Legend Coupe :)

maybe just take a number of pics of the 4 cyl, surely someone here will confirm what it is
