Using Ebay to buy parts?

I'm going to be buying a timing belt kit and water pump for my 88 EF Civic. There's quite a few sellers from the USA on ebay. My question is, are these parts any good? And secondly, are these US parts going to fit my Australian Civic?

I've bought parts before (US gen parts and generics), just make sure the part numbers line up and all should be sweet

there's a percentage of parts Honda just stamps and has other co's make under contract

for example:

my timing belt, water pump, seals and tensioner pulley = $145AU to my door (oem US seals, Canadian made pump/tensioner and gates belt same build quality and same parts)

or plus $300+ here

yeah go by part number as they sometimes get different versions of cars from ours.
but i've brought things from the sates before and its been all good.
Got my dizzy from there.
$900 AUD or $300 from US

Ebay is always our best friend. Just remember to check if the seller is genuine n the parts match the parts number.

Definitely! But I need to look after my car first and I'm strapped for cash atm.

I've been trying to source part numbers today with little luck. I eventually called Honda, but after getting numbers realised they aren't the same as US.

I think the Australian numbers cross reference with different US numbers but I'm not sure. For example, differences between Aus and US for a timing belt kit:

Water pump including gasket: 19200P01004 (ebay 19200-PM3-003 )
Timing belt:14400P01004 (ebay 14400-PM3-003/4)
Tensioner pulley: 14510PM7004 (same)

How can I verify these parts cross reference?
