I went to get my clutch changed on my dc2r and it turns out i had a hyper single clutch and the flyhweel wont suit the stock clutch im putting on,
i dont know anyone selling a stock dc2r one and the only one i can find is from a vtir just wondering if it would fit.
need a answer asap cars sitting in the shop.

it will fit but dont put it on. massive downgrade. your revs will feel slower. buy a fidazana or exedy lightened flywheel

i sort of needed it today i picked up a vtir one for $111 couldnt find a dc2r one at the wreckers.
what i dont get is when i had a look at the car when he took my old clutch out, is it had a toda pressure plate on it with what i was told was a worn out exedy hyper plate single clutch, so im guessing the lightened flywheel it has is probably toda aswell.
He told me that the brand new oem clutch i was putting it on wouldn't fit on my lightened flywheel for some reason so i only really had 2 choices buy a 2nd hand dc2r one off him for $400 or this vtir one.
anyone know if the toda pressure plate is worth anything still since i have no need for it. Im going to look at my old flywheel to see what brand it is im pretty sure its toda aswell.

his full of shit, the aftermarket one will fit, if u had a today presure plate, it will be exedy heavy duty clutch plate and toda flywheel, it can be machined for $55

Yeah when he took it off it had toda pressure plate and inside it had a exedy hyper single plate clutch in it, he said the exedy oem replacement pressure plate and clutch wouldn't fit on the flywheel he also said i could only use my lightened flywheel if i bought another exedy hyper plate single off him which i didnt want to do because it was to expensive so he basically made me buy a stock flywheel...
ill post up pics tomorrow.. i thought a lightened flywheel would fit on a oem replacement or even a heavy duty one but he said it wouldn't...

he is lying or mis informed.
any b series flywheel will suit any b series clutch kit.
the only exception being all-in-one kits like twin or triple plate HKS etc

Hey guys how about in reverse? Would it make much of a difference if I changed my VTi-R flywheel to a Type R? Or should I just go aftermarket?
What would be the most cost effective?
I'm looking to do my clutch in the next coming months as it's starting to slip a bit. Be interesting to know!
Thanks guys

i call BS on the OEM clutch kit not fitting onto an aftermarket flywheel. Any reason your fitting a stock clutch back on?

i seriously have no idea why they are bullshitting me tho im going to talk to them when i pick it up tomorrow but i guess it would be to late by then anyway because i basically downgraded alot by going with this shitty vtir flywheel.
im only putting a stock clutch back on because its a daily drive car really and cant be bothered spending big on it.

Does toda make anything like this because the old kit that used to be on my lightened flywheel was a toda pressure plate so im only guessing that the flywheel is from toda aswell, thats the only thing i can think of.
I took a few pics quality is shit but at least you can get some idea. last pic is of the pressure plate that used to be on it.

if a stock dc2r clutch kit doesnt fit that flywheel, i will buy u a car...............coz ur mechanic was full of shit, hoping you would buy a clutch and flywheel package from him so he can make more money on ur ass, and since it backfired coz u said no, its not like he could have said, ohh well, will try make it fit and then act surprised that it did........
i hate some mechanics, fuking ass holes...
