Hi there, we just recently (2 days ago) picked up our brand new Accord Euro from the dealer, and when i tested the speakers, i could notice something with the ipod connection via aux input. It coped alright for rock, jazz etc music but when i played some dance i could notice the speakers distorting. Now this was not at a high volume. Low to moderate even. I first thought quality of the song, but i imported these songs at 320kbs from the cd. And when i played the same track from the cd at the same level i could hear no distortion.
I was also told that it could be the volume from the input i.e. ive got the ipod turned up max, i didn't experience this problem in the Odyssey but i've yet to try the ipod with the volume on half and turn it up more on the volume control on the unit. Anyone had this problem?

Are you using the optional iPod accessory thing to connect your iPod or are you just plugging in a 3.5mm to 3.5mm into the Aux with your iPod?
I'm currently using the 3.5mm plug and have no problems with my iPod with max volume. Have you tried another iPod to see if it has the same problem?

I've heard of some CU2 that come with or develop blown speakers. I haven't got this one yet and the volume certainly hasn't remained low but for you, you should take it to Honda and they should replace the affected speakers under warranty as it is a known issue.

^^^ I've got the speaker problem and it got replaced on my 1st service. but I think the problem is different to the OP problem. sometimes I got the same problem for a few songs on the IPOD (mostly RnB songs) but for most of the time its ok.
If you are using the 35mm jack, try using CD player with the orginal CD instead using Ipod and see if it still have the problem. If it doesnt, that means the problem is with the quality of the song on the ipod

I was going to say that. Turn the ipod down, and the volume up. Much clearer. ;)
