Hey guys,
My front right brakes ( im pretty sure its the front right brakes ) have been squealing for a few days now when i brake.

Funny thing is it doesnt happen all the time, for example it happens for the first 10 mins of driving, then it stops, then 20 mins later it comes back.
Another example; one day it wont squeal at all, even on hard braking, then the next day it squeals, even with soft braking.

My car is still relatively new, only done 5,700 k's! im pretty sure the brakes arent gone this early? Can anyone help me to determine if the brake pad are needing of replacement, or is this something i should take down to honda?

cheers!

same here, same situation. got an 07 sports model FD. not too sure on what the problem is. sometime it squeals like no tommorow. Heard from someone that the rotors has to be machined to get rid of the problem. would like to know some suggestion too..

the break pad prob needs changing check with a mechanic (not honda) and see what they say and get them to write a report. :D

its probably cause of the weather.

get some of that anti-squeel brake and try that out..

if it squeels like a mother ****er, then ur brake pads are wearing out and metal is hitting metal.. ull probably need to also get the disks machined

^i also experience this in the weather too.

I've heard people say that you should drive on an empty road, and brake as hard as you can - you might minor contaminants or maybe even bits of sand on the pads, and you wan tto wear them away

There could be a small stone caught in there, or the pad's anti-sieze grease could have dried out and needs a reapplication. If under warranty, get the dealer to sort it out.
