Car is EM1 with oem air filter.

Quick question
In the service manual where it says to replace air filter at xxx,000km, do you need to replace it or can you just clean it?

With the OEM airbox, why bother with K&N. More often than not, 0.1 kw performance gain and let's in more dirt.

Just stick with the OEM paper airfilter from Honda. Its quality stuff and can easily last 30,000 to 40,000 kms.

If youre doing a large amount of kms and keeping the servicing up, K&N makes sense as youre not paying to have the filter replaced all the time, you just clean it yourself. Mind you itd probably take a few years to pay for itself.

Power gains are so close to nothing its not funny, but it makes your exhaust sound a little bit nicer ;) which is why id go for one. But I'm just running stocky atm and am pretty happy with it.
