I've noticed some people have been wondering how much the Injen and/or Takeda intakes cost to be shipped to Australia etc so i done some research. ( These are for the CU2 )

Injen http://www.heeltoeauto.com/product.php?productid=65272&cat=1250&page=1

If you enter coupon code "tsxrocks" you get an extra 5% off.

All up shipped to Sydney with USPS Priority Mail International - 6-10 Days = $379.71 ( Australian dollars )

If you wanted Fed Ex 1-3 day shipping then expect around $440-450 AUD

Takeda http://www.heeltoeauto.com/product.php?productid=64879&cat=1250&page=1
= $401.76 for the slowest shipping method.

The cheapest Injen i've seen on ebay was $405 + approx with postage to Sydney and the cheapest Takeda on ebay is roughly $445 +

Heeltoeauto seems the cheapest from what i've researched.

Close to 10% improvement in power. Nice!!!

I have noticed a pop @ 4100rpm. Now I can see what happens with the power curve. Is this the vtec kicking in?

The sound is also great. I want one.

I was recently also looking at the best place to purchase injen intake for my CL9 on the internet. Ended up buying it off heeltoe last week for $363AU shipped as they seemed like the most reliable/cheapest, however I don't remember having a choice to choose USPS or FedEx.

That's cos you're a dero Simon! hahah! jks.. You would have had a choice, but cos you're so cheap you'd have only seen the USPS one.

P.S. Your car is slow..

VTEC crossover in the CL9 is @ 6000rpm. The engine makes peak torque @ 4500rpm, so that push you feel at 4100rpm may be the engine advancing the VTC

Here is the power curve, notice the sharp increase in power @4100rpm. This looks like the vtec kicking in? 5600 to 6400 drops and then its up again from 6400 to 7000 (according to this dyno anyway....).

^^^ Either that or its VSA thingy? I think the actual person who car has been borrowed by injen says that they have some problem with VSA that keep on kicking in... (taken from ACURAZINE forum)

Is VSA even that good or useful? Sounds too complicated to me. Isn't VSA the system that automatically adjusts the volume because of increased cabin or outside noise etc?

I think i will follow you guys and definately turn it off once i get my CU2.

VSA stands for Vehicle Stability Assist and it has probably saved my life on more than one occasion..

To save any misconceptions in how I may describe it.. please watch the following youtube clip...

I only turn VSA off when I want to do a hard launch (manual) so I can get full control over the car. I would only recommend turning it off if you know the conditions of the road, how your car behaves etc.. Even still, I would leave it on.

NOTE: even if the VSA button is turn off, it will still kick in if the car think that you are doing something dangerous. This has been discuss in Acurazine forum where a guy try to dyno his stock Euro but the result always weird because VSA was keep on kicking in no matter it says on or off on the dashboard. He has to disconnect it somehow to produce the correct dyno figures.

Ahh that's right thanks for that i was thinking of something else lol

Stability control in my SV6 is always on by default but i turn it off sometimes when having a bit of fun ;) but whenever the car is turned off then on again it automatically enables it.

I hope my SV6 sells soonnn! I wanna get into a euro :( I've got all my mods planned by no car yet lol

Worst case scenario if i can't sell my car soon i will wait until June. By then i will only owe about 21k on it so i can afford to sell or trade in the SV6 for 26-27k ( currently trying to sell it for $28,900 ). At the moment i still owe 24k on it and i want to make atleast a few grand profit so i can get my mods done.
