Put shock threw my top hat 2 day :(
hit a pot hole and put the shock str8 threw it
it now rattles like a bitch.
im guessing im put for new front suspension ? :(
shock would be ****ed after the drive home on a bumpy road
so cant just put new top hat in?

the shock snapped the top hat and has dropped back below top hat n is
rattling really bad.

Looks like installation error - looks like a large washer was left out of the install process. This washer ( usually black) holds the upper bushes together and thusly allows the shock to be held in one captive piece. This would never pop thru like your situation no matter how big the bump

Yep - see the top nut still there ? You didn't ( or whoever installed) didn't put a washer on top or bottom or both. This resulted on the shock piston going beyond it's normal travel and popped out the bushes. Get it jacked up and fit the correct 2x bushes , 2 x large washers either end of the bushes and don't forget the smaller washer which sits ontop of the piston guide
