gonna get a custom 2.25" piping done on my 5th gen..should i get a high flow cat installed too? and also a resonator?

can anyone explain to me what they do (esp the resonator)

Honda's are pretty good in general with the cat, that goes from most manufacturers. Personally wouldn't bother changing it, save you money for something else.

As for a resonator, its basically a muffler, sometimes called a pre-muffler, amongst other things, so works the same as a muffler.

You might want a resonator, depends on what muffler you get. If you are going for a straight flow like a cannon style, the resonator can reduce to drone in the cabin.
Just a thought...

well, im planning on getting a universal Remus muffler..

so would i possibly need a resonator? i dont want any drone in the cabin..

yeah.. ive got 2 resonators on ma car.. keeps it down alot..

My friend has 2.5" piping, 2 x resonators and a silenced cannon style muffler and its still really loud!! The drone in the cabin is very evident and outside is very loud

get a resonator put in 2 keep it from being 2 loud, so u wont get a canary....
with the cat, just take it off out n rip all of the insides out of it, then put it back in so it looks legit
