EK9 Civic Type R "Race base" (N1?)

Does anyone know the spec of these "race base" EK9s?

How rare are they? What makes the special?
I heard they might have lighter (aluminium) panels....

Would one be worth more or less than a regular EK9?

I'm sure I've got the JDM brochure somewhere but can't find it... DOH!
