Hey guys i owe an ek1 with a b18c2 in it and my car has been eating a huge quantity of oil lately and my car blows a white ish grey smoke at high revs.

I've been told by my mechanics that it's worned out pistons rings.

How would i go replacing the pistons?

Do i just buy a piston ring set and give it to my mechanic or something?

engine need to be remomoved and pulled apart, bores need to be measure to ensure they are not worn, lots of important clearances need to be obtained, so only after all these important measurments have been made do you decide if you just get ring, or new pistons and rebore or just hone.

then you need gasket kits and possibly replace any worn bearings.

+ new engine studs, may as well replace the timing belt, run-in oil and a lot of time. It isn't a simple task.
