hey guys,

I've got a carby eg at home and looking at converting it to efi, ive got the everything but the interior loom from the vti eg.

Been on the lookout for a manual eg vti interior loom and have found an auto interior loom.

Am I able to use the auto loom on my car and connect it to the manual motor?

What issues would i face if any? or if it a straight bolt on.

Cheers
Duy

Assuming you are using the D16Y1 from the vti yes the auto loom can be used with the manual motor. However some wires will have to be disconnected at the ECU (I think 5 in total) and the reverse lights wired from the switch on the manual box. You'll also have to wire in a heavy duty relay for the starting circuit as the auto loom doesn't have this relay. It relies on the switch in the auto shifter instead. Swapping looms is a pretty massive job, basically stripping everything out of the interior (dash, carpet, insulation etc). Also have to have some knowledge about car wiring....

ah k, thanks for the reply, the cars already stripped of the old loom. so putting in the loom shouldnt be too hard. tho wiring fails me hard

happen to know which wires are needed? or does anyone have a manual vti loom they are not using?
