Hey guys/gals,

So i bought a 1994 prelude no idea what series at all has no badges on it,
has a 2.2 in it but can anyone tell me the series si or what ever,

also im going to take tappet cover off and give it a clean/paint
will i need to replace the gasket ? also is there a wreckers in the brisbane
area that specialises in hondas ? or does anyone have one there wrecking?

Hi is the 2.2 duel over head cam or single because that the easyest diffrence to spot between the F22A1 (single) or the H22A1 (duel vtec).
Plus if u open the bonnet and look directly to the right next to the starter you should see the engine type and number. I think if got all this right.

even easier.
pop the bonnet and see if it has "VTEC" written on the top in big letters.

if it does, then you got yourself a h22 so either a vtir, an engine swapped other model or a jdm import si-vtec.
if not, then its an s.

hi there i recently purchases a vtir 94 prelude, jdm. had so many problems
at the moment my idle seems to be hunting. not to sure why. does anyone have any idea why and whether or not its a major issue?
also the interior of my car needs alot of work..the dash and things such as seals on the edge of the front and back windows are falling off

si are dohc h23a1 non Vtec Si Vtec h22a and Vtir are h22a1 should say it where the alternator is
