You've done the right thing so far. Theres a way to turn it and it comes out. Undo your front torque mounts, this will enable you to 'tilt' the engine more. Will give you the extra engine rotation you need.

if you have a two piece header, take off the 2-1 section, really frees up alot of room under there.

no need for any of that mate, just remove the black braket completely and then mount should jus come out with playing around with it...loosen all bolts equally inlcuding the rear mount before attempting removale.
i did it all with a ratchet and various spanners no need for fancy tools if thats what your trying to do....
BTW disconnect the o2sensor help get hands in without damage to it...

1 bolt that runns through the engine mount
2 bolt located in the middle of the black braket on top of each other
1 bolt located at the highest point of the black braket that joins it to the actual motor not gearbox, so ul need to access it from the left(being in the position that when you open the bonnet) near the starter motor further in towards the engine...
hope that helps!

got all the bolts out and its loose i just cant manage to get it in a way where it comes out so i can get to the mount itself. ill try the trick with taking out the front torque mounts so i can tilt the engine today.
cheers
