View Full Version : Driver side window not closing
Hey guys,
I know there have been alot of threads on the power window and I have "consulted" all the advice but still doesnt work.
While trying to wind up the window, it stop about 2cm and it wouldn't go up anymore. It will only work after a few tries of "up and down".
Any ideas what;s wrong with it?
Thank you.

When you say goes up 2cm then wouldn't go anymore, does it go back down? Mine goes up and when there's 2cm's left it automatically goes down.
it goes up 2cm (from the door), then seems to be stuck but can go back down.
maybe its just acting up or something, 'cos i am not having any problems today.

Open the trim up, tighten everything you can then give everything a good lubricating. Should be all good after that!

Mine used to do that, i got some window lube cleaner from super hceap auto, it done the trick! and it goes up and down so smooth now :D

OP, did you add Window visors ? If this is the case, then it may have tightened the rubber window seals up top of the window - not allowing the window to go up all the way.
I had exactly the same issue, fix up the issue now (before the window itself falls out) by re-sealing the hinge with new window adhesive.
The more you rock it, the looser it gets. I advise you not to risk it.
Goodluck. :)

Forgot to add, if you open up your door to fix it, the hinges im referring to would be 2 white panels that connect to the window allowing it to go up/down.
Cheers.
