LoL i didn't edit them besides resizing it. n00b + dslr camera and pushing random buttons = ok result?

Quality parts - YES!
Workshops - NO!

But, I'm a family friend of John who use to work at hi power racing, so he's going to be doing most of the work on my car.

too stock, to go man... i'd prefer to take it if it had a few mods and could be remembered as 'that one integra' and not 'just another integra' which came to the cruise if you know what i mean?

lighting was pretty bad, just one street lamp thingo at a carpark, wait was definitely worth it, love this car. hardest decision was when i had to choose between an S2k and the DC5. Got the DC5 because it was just more practical then a 2 seater.

I hope I don't offend you but you sound like you care too much(by my standards) about what people think.
Cruises to me are about meeting new people and having a good time, there'll always be a better car around.

seriously man, just go and meet ppl and get ideas for your car and enjoy it! otherwise, with your attitude (no offence i'm just saying...) we're NEVER gonna see you at a meet because as long as timmy is there you'll never be known as "that dc5r" ;). unless you got $20-30k in your pocket ready to spend on your car you won't get close! even with that list of mods all done you'll certainly have a nice car but as far as modding goes, it's pretty standard.

sorry man not havin a go at you, let the big boys show off the big toys while the rest of us just enjoy it. plus it'd be cool for us to see progress. ie: this year we see a stocker, next year we see a stocker transformed in to a nice ride. sometimes it's not about showing off the car as much as showing off the progress

Would be nice to see some clearer pics, and yes, congrats on your first car being a Type R, take good care of it and it will last well.

Go to a meet, it's the best way to meet like minded people and you will come away with heaps of knowledge on how to get the best out of the car
Cheers

can't remember where he works, but he fabricates kitchens/ovens or something to do with kitchens now, nothing to do with mechanics at all really. don't know why he changed careers, as he was bloody good at what he did.

Was initially looking at an S13 or EG, but as i saved more money i kept saying to myself, if i save another $2000 i cant get an even better car, then as i saved that $2000 i said to myself again if i save myself another $2000 i cant get an even better car etc etc etc kept going on until i got to the $28,000 mark then couldn't help it no more and bought the DC5.

i would of chosen an S2k as well!! just for l33t factor. but would of gotten raped by insurance and the fact that it was an older model S2k and it had a habit of sliding out, didn't really feel like wrapping myself around a pole yet as im just a n00by p-plater. ;)

saved heaps when i was little, coz didn't know how to spend money back then, and then all my kfc etc work from 15 - 17 was saved coz i wanted to be the cool kid who drove an S2000 to high school, but that didn't happen.. lol.. and after i got my dodgy job was only able to save up 8k.

Primary School Years - 6k. (one broken tooth = $50 :p)
High School Years - 14k. (volunteering to do 12 hour shifts on weekends and holidays were so shitty, especially when you only get $8 an hour.)
Tertiary Study Years - 8k.

Was hard, but i still managed to have fun, and back then i didn't have a car to run and everything was free. Now i'm too pov to do anything to my car. :(

Oh man i feel your pain, i think the cheapest place to buy honda badges is from Honda dealers them self. My car got badged and had to buy 2 new type R badges front and back for my ep3r, In total 2 of them only cost 90 bucks which is a bargain i think..... Im not sure about the red honda badges but.
Bad luck man what bloody mofo's.

And oh if your side dc5r decals got stolen too i got 2 spare ones that you can buy off me. :p

only the badge came off on mine, and the double sided adhesive was stuck on.

Eskimo_firefighter
01-04-2010, 11:52 AM
oh, if that is the case cant you just pull off the adhesive with out leaving any residue, thats what im assuming with what happened with my badges. at least thieves had the decency to take off the adhesive when they badged me. f**king bastards.

and lol nail polish on removing residue that would be gg.

90KUU
01-04-2010, 11:56 AM
it's like old and crumpled, know what i mean? and it sticks VERY WELL.

LOL just called honda "front is $149, rear is $103 and type r badge is $79"... *hangs up phone*.

Eskimo_firefighter
01-04-2010, 11:58 AM
what the fudge. that is bloody expensive, i guess your best bet is jdmyard or jdm concept man.

And the residue i dont know, i suggest you just youtube or google it. Or even try my nail polish remover suggestion, lol. Goodluck.

That sucks about the badges! Although, I was at the Honda spare parts shop yesterday chasing a quote on badges and other items, but they were both under $100 each for DC5R? In relation to that gooey residue, I removed a badge from my old Honda and all I did was use a hair dryer to 'melt' the glue, and the majority came off fairly easy. I then used some metho' with a terry towelling cloth (which removed the remainder), washed with water, and finished with some polish. Turned out perfectly, shiny as new underneath!

I'm in Sunnybank also, I'll keep an eye out for it.

P.S. Car looks great.
