2007 CRV Crack Leather Seat

Hi Fellow CRV Owner,

I have a 2007 March CRV Leather. It has only done 30000 Kms and the driver seat bottom side leather/vinyl is starting to crack (photo above). Warranty runs out in a few days.

I have used Mother's leather cleaner/conditioner at least quarterly. Is this a common problem? Will the crack get worse over time ie. split open? What is your experience in claiming warranty from Honda?

I have a feeling you're going to have a hard time claiming any warranty for that... However my friend has one and her's is always parked in the sun and it's a 2001. No cracks. I don't have any further input though.

my friend got a 07 CRV Luxury with 160,000kms on it and the condition of leather interior still perfect : )

Thanks. This is the sort of information which led me to believe that it was a material defect right from the factory leading to the premature cracking of leather seat on the side. :(

I am going to have a go at Honda and see what they say ...
