Have been doing alot of research and have decided it is the only car on this planet i would like to drive (well besides a testarossa but ya'know). Anyways is it possible to get the NSX's complied as they are much cheaper to import than buy here? NSX's in aus are going at 50,000 and up where as jap auction sites are more in the 18,000 > 40,000 for pretty much the same quality. Any info on importing an NSX would be helpful. Thanks

Can't be done. Unless you live there, own it, provide proof of living, ownership, bills etc, then after 12 months you're eligable for import.

NSx prices have increased a lot in the last 12 months.

YOu could buy an AU delivered NSX with less than 100KM on it for 35-45K 12+ months ago. Now the minimum is 50-60K.

I could of bought a 98 NSX-T manual, 50th anniversary edition with 45000 or 55000KM for $68K about 2yrs ago.

That same car is worth (if it were advertised) about $90K now.

just wait for the new NSX to come out, then the price may come down.

Yes, NSX is still my most wanted supercar

Even if they did bring out a new NSX, a big if, it will be years before prices drop (and even if they do drop it'd be more because of depreciation than anything) because they would be completely different cars.

e.g the R35 GTRs release hasn't done much in dropping R34 prices

AND the NSX's that are Aus delivered are still a rarity because we can't import them as freely as you can bring in an compliance R34's.

I would really love to own the last NSX-R. 1200-ish kgs, lightweight, 3.2Litre VTEC 6 cylinder, 12 second quarter mile....phwoarrr in Championship White would be awesome

Sounds simular to this one but its Red, Auto, and targa top. The guy has been trying to sell this for ages, but he has patients.

Does anyone know approximetly how many NSX's are they in Australia? I'd guess probably maxiumum of 30?

I'm going from memory here, but with the inclusion of imported models a few years ago, I believe the numbers are estimated to be around 400.

^^^ Yeah a LOT more than 30... SA is probably the worst state for hondas n I'd say theres at least 20+ NSX's here... even a genuine imported n registered Type-R (but that might be interstate now)

if you end up finding a nsx for cheap it will be cheap for a reason after you buy it then you will be stuck with a car that will cost you alot to fix because the parts are not cheap no matter what way you look at it you wont get a cheap nsx at the end of the day

not to say there arnt any good deals out there but most of the time if its to good to be true it usualy is

LHD no ty. it can stay over there for all i care. Even if it was made in japan it still wouldnt be cheap dude. v10 nsx will literally ne the japanese ferrari and wont cost much less then a ferrari i'd guess anyway.

If it's anything like the LF-A it certainly won't be cheap. I think LF-A is somethin ridiculous like $800,000

Not to mention its a lease program.

just thinking of the LF-A it looks exactly like that video of the so called "2011 nsx" just without the camo colouring.

the new nsx would be great if it was still a mid engine car, but bl its not.

The engine position is actually pretty close to the centre of the car, even though it's in front of the cab. I'm sure it was done like that for a reason. V10 VTEC AWD certainly a beast if it ever gets released.

i guess so. but they should have kept the old layout and gave it a bigger engine and a new face lift lol and probably awd :P lol
