OK! So.. driving home last night, backfire, motor dead..

Opened up the motor had a quick poke.. The timing belt snapped @ 7k rpm. from what can be seen so far at least 12 valves are bent. I'm willing to bet money that the rest are all stuffed too and I'd be surprised if i haven't smashed one of the pistons..

So it's pretty much being rebuilt..

Should I change cams? What cams should I get?
Uprated valve springs etc.. Should I port the head? etc etc etc..

Come guys give me good suggestions, I'm looking to make noticeably more power than before (110 fwkw last time it was tested).

i suggest B20 block make easy 120kw with standard parts, built potential around 140-160kw

ok i been through this. I went with a built b18. didn't really meet my expectations, went straight to b20 and couldn't be happier  will cost similar and be much quicker (most likely anyway)

But really the cheapest option would be to just buy another 2d hand replacement b18 and just do a big service on it befor you put it in, belts, seals etc.
