Hi all,
I don't know anyone else with the above car, so I have to ask here.
Anyway, my air con is cold'ish, but isn't freezing like most air cons, even on the max settings. Takes 10mins + to get the car cool on a hot day. I wasn't sure whether the Hondas air con just isn't that fantastic, or am I running outta gas ?? Just most other cars I've had have been colder.
Cheers,
Tommo

Off Topic.
Anyone knows why whenever the air con is on, and when the fan is turning off, the idle drops a lot until the point where the engine would shut off.

hey guys,
ive got a '99 dc2 and my air con has been working pretty well. todays pretty warm and it didnt take too long to cool down the car. make sure u recycle the air and it'll be colder.. i still have to tint my windows so that should make things a little cooler too...

from my experience, hondas never really had that ice cold air con feel, cold but not as much as some

my aircon doesnt cool the car at ainstant on hot days, but once u hav it running for around 5-10 mins it does become very cool in the car

all aircond in cars are like this arent they...
i dont expect cold air to blow out instantly on a 35 deg day...

i find if you start diving for a few minutes until the engine is warm then put the air con on, it's heaps better.
if i put it on straight away when i turn the key i find it never gets really that cold
That is the first thing I noticed when buying my car. I bought it in summer of 03 and I had my AC on in my Toyota Camry, met the guy, jumped into his DC2R and he has been running the AC too because the day was so hot. I noticed the AC was not as cold as the Toyota Nippondenso Air...
But at the end of the day, my AC is still cool, but what's cooler than being cool? Ice cold!!

make sure that you have the recycle button on with the climate control settings and if you're driving keep it above 3k that seems to improve the a/c function
