I want to pop the eg5 sunroof switch out, it's located to the right of the steering wheel on the dash. I figured u pry it out with a screwdriver but I tried and it looked like it was gonna snap off

try push it out from the back. Pretty sure they pop out. also you have to remove the entire button assembly. Are you trying to remove just the individual switch?

I want to disconnect the wire to cut sunroof operation, sunroof bracket is broke so don't want any chance of itopening which can damage the roof
I had a look at pushing from behind but looks like u need to removedash

get a flat head, put a peice of cloth around it so u dont ruin your dash, put itin the frame of the button and gently lever it out, the wire will still be attached and u can pull it out far enough to cut the wire.

good luck

Pop off the blank one next to the sunroof switch with the screw driver (if you mess it up they're cheaper to replace) and then slide 2-3 fingers (depending how skinny you are) and pop it out from behind

Or pop out the pwr mirrors switch and stick your fingers in there and pop it out from underneath

^^^yeah pop it with a small flat head screw driver, but pop one of the blanks off that way if you root it it's easy to replace and just put your fingers in the hole and yank it out

Do you need a DIY????
