View Full Version : some thing wrong with my EG B16A **pic inside

Yesterday i was drive my car like 15mins (i warm up my car 3 to 5 mins eveytime i start my engine) nth wrong with it.
after 15mins drive, my car was suddly stop and seem like no power ... or whatever and then i start up the engine again the front side close to drive belts area have smoke comes out and smell really bad so i stop the car again and try to found out whats the problem is.i think i miss / broken one belt. i think there should have 3 belts but now i *****ONLY HAVE 2 BELTS******
now i just leave my car over the street
anyone have idea? do i drive to workshop because the engine still can start or tow to workshop?

That's the Air-Con compressor belt, will still be fine to drive but you will not have A/C

thanks mate

the engine should have 3 belts? right?

but i have no idea why the car stop and smoke comes out

a lit be scare me :(

Should have 3 belts, ac/timing/ power steering..

Could be the ac belt snapped, and got caught on something thats why it smoked up a little, maybe have also could on something as it was breaking to briefly stall the engine

Yep should have three belts as above, not sure why smoke came out but best bet is to get it checked out either way.

could be the ruybber belt getting stuck then friction causing it to burn and smoke?

could be something alot worse?

start the car up, check for sounds , check for random shit thats abnormal, look @ the location, to see if the old belt is fully dislodged yet. If the belt didnt snap clean off, it should be around there somewhere still. Have a peek under the car
